Patrick is a medical doctor, missionary, and ordained minister. Patrick was trained as a physician in Australia. Patrick graduated from the China Graduate School of Theology in Hong Kong and Fuller Seminary in the United States. Patrick also obtained a PhD in Chinese Church history from the University of Hong Kong.
Patrick was the 10th General Director of OMF International (formerly the China Inland Mission) from 2005 to 2023. He currently serves as the Global Ambassador for OMF International. OMF currently has 1400 missionaries, sharing the good news with East Asia’s peoples.
Patrick was a plenary speaker at the 2009 InterVarsity’s Urbana Mission Conference and the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town in 2010. He was also the Bible expositor for 2015 Urbana Conference and one of the Bible Expositors for the Hong Kong Bible Conference in 2016 and 2023 as well as the 2024 Fourth Lausanne Congress. The author of “Live to Be Forgotten” and “Leading Well in Times of Disruption”.
Patrick currently serves as the Internal Board Chair of CCCOWE.

Rev. Dr. David Doong was born in Taiwan. After graduating from National Taiwan University, he went to the United States to study theology and received his Master of Divinity degree (2008) and Ph.D. in Theology (2015) from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Since 2006, he has served Chinese students, young migrants and young families at Evangelical Formosan Church in Los Angeles, and has preached to international students in different churches, high school campuses and college campuses in North America, as well as training campus ministers. Since 2016, in addition to participating in the pastoral care of Chinese students in North America, he has also begun to serve the second generation (ABC) of the Chinese church, pastoring the English congregation of the church.
In 2018, the family moved back to Taiwan and served in Shih Pai Friendship Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Doong stepped down from the ministry of the pastoral church in August 2021. Since then, he serves at CCCOWE (Chinese Coordination Center of World Evangelization) as the general secretary.
He is also a podcaster who hosts “Missional Discipleship” podcast interviewing global Chinese Christian leaders weekly, the author of “Practical Theology as Discipleship” and “Missional Discipleship,” as well as the chief editor of "Missional Discipleship @ Workplace.”

Sam Chan (PhD, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is a Global citizen - born in Hong Kong, raised in Australia, studied Medicine in Sydney, got his PhD in Chicago.
Sam is a public speaker for City Bible Forum and Third Space – giving talks to high schoolers, city workers, bankers, doctors, and lawyers. He is also the head trainer and mentor at EvQ School of Evangelism, a ministry of City Bible Forum. Based in Australia, he’s the author of award winning books : Evangelism in a Skeptical World and How to Talk About Jesus (Without Being That Guy).
Sam speaks at conferences around the world on storytelling, apologetics, and the practice of evangelism in a post-Christian culture. He is a fellow at The Keller Center, and he blogs at Espresso Theology.
This summit will bring together church pastors, seminary representatives, and leaders of Christian organizations, missions, workplace ministries, and youth ministries from all over Australia and New Zealand. The summit is by invitation-only. Invitees are recommended by CCCOWE District Committees of Australia and New Zealand. Formal invitations will be issued via email by the Summit Secretary.
The Summit will open up the number of applications appropriately depending on the registration situation.
